ArchitectEdu makes two things for grades 3–8 — ages 8 to 14: Archie, a reading companion that never hands over the answer, and The AI Literacy, a six-plate course taught in class. Kids don’t get answers here. They get asked better questions.
A child does not consume a lesson. They build one.
The name is ArchitectEdu and the companion is Archie because understanding is a structure: you draw it, you correct it, you build it. Archie never states an answer — it names what the child seems to have mixed up and points at the paragraph where the evidence is, then asks. That is enforced by a check on every reply, not by hoping the model behaves.
Built for New York, in New York’s own materials.
The passages are the state’s released reading tests, grades 3–8. The standards are the state’s Next Generation Learning Standards, loaded from its own documents. The law we build to is the state’s: Education Law §2-d, alongside FERPA and COPPA.
Eight rules that override every other instruction.
- 1No student’s or teacher’s personal information ever reaches an AI model.
- 2If the scrubbing that protects it fails, the request is refused — never sent unscrubbed.
- 3The child’s record has no field for a name. Not optional, not encrypted — absent.
- 4The map from scrubbed placeholders back to real text lives only on our servers, for five minutes, and is never logged.
- 5Every AI call is logged before the answer is returned.
- 6Districts are separated in the database itself, not only in our code.
- 7Archie never states a correct answer.
- 8A standards code is never invented; if the state didn’t publish one, there is none.
Built and playable. Said plainly.
Archie and the course are built and playable. The parent view, the teacher’s class view and the price are not yet, and every page says so where it applies. Nothing on this site is staged.
